Onboarding

Getting your company live on Sentra Scheduler

Setup shouldn’t drag on. Sentra Scheduler comes with a guided setup checklist, and a team at Computer Systems Plus that sets it up with you.

How onboarding works

Five phases. Each one ends with something you can see in the system, not a status report.

  1. Kickoff

Agree on job types, teams, people and a go-live goal.

  2. Setup

Your admin works through the Get started checklist in the portal, with our help.

  3. Training

Short sessions for the office, dispatchers and technicians.

  4. Test

Real-looking jobs filed, routed, worked and closed end to end.

  5. Go live

Add the button to your website; we watch the first days with you.

Each phase in detail

  1. Kickoff

We meet with your owner or office manager, confirm who works jobs, and agree on the job types to start with and a go-live goal. We create your company in Sentra Scheduler and invite your first admin.

  2. Setup

Your admin works through Get started, the checklist inside the portal. Steps tick themselves off as the real settings are done: company details and logo, teams and crews, staff and roles, job types and response times, customer questions, routing and business hours, your service area, the look of the request form and the crew app, customer emails, the website button, an optional data import, and a test job.

  3. Training

Short, role-based sessions: admins, office staff and dispatchers, and technicians with the crew app. Everyone also has the built-in help center and the Ask Sentra Scheduler assistant, with guides written for their role.

  4. Test

Your team files real-looking jobs from the website button, the AI chat and the phone-entry screen, assigns them, works them in the field and closes them. Customer emails are checked end to end. The Go-live check lists anything that would cause problems, with a link to fix each one.

  5. Go live

You add the button to your website and tell your customers. We watch the first days with you and adjust job types, routing and response times as real jobs come in.

What we do, and what you prepare

We do

  • Create your company and your first admin account.
  • Set up your first job types and their questions with you.
  • Help draw or load your service area.
  • Help import jobs from your old system or a spreadsheet, including a test import you can undo.
  • Train each group of staff and answer questions during testing.
  • Check the go-live list with you before launch.

You prepare

  • Services: the jobs customers ask for most, which team handles each, and how quickly each should be answered.
  • People: your office staff, dispatchers and technicians, with their roles and crews.
  • Service area: where you work: a list of towns or ZIP codes, or a map file if you have one.
  • Look and feel: your logo, main color and a banner photo for the request form.
  • Your website: someone who can paste the button code into your website.
  • Old data (optional): a spreadsheet or export from your current system if you want your job history.

Moving your data

If you’re replacing another system or a spreadsheet, the importer brings your job history over from a CSV file.

  • Matches your columns to Sentra Scheduler fields
  • Suggests a job type for each of your old service names
  • Shows a preview before anything is created
  • Every import can be undone
  • Details on the importer page

Training and help after go-live

Everyone gets training for their role and help inside the product.

  • Role-based training for admins, office staff, dispatchers and technicians
  • A help center inside the portal and the crew app, with step-by-step guides
  • The Ask Sentra Scheduler assistant for “how do I…” questions
  • Support from the Computer Systems Plus team after launch

Common questions

How long does onboarding take?

Mostly as long as the decisions on your side: which job types to start with, and who works them. The checklist keeps it moving, and many steps take minutes once those are made. We agree on a go-live goal at kickoff.

Do we have to finish every step before going live?

No. Importing old jobs is optional, and any step can be skipped. The go-live check only flags real problems, such as job types with no team or nobody but the admin to work jobs.

Can we start small?

Yes. Start with your most common services and one team, then add more after launch. Job types, forms and routing can change at any time.

Do our customers need to install anything?

No. Customers use the button on your website in any browser, the AI chat inside it, email, or a phone call to your office.

Can we change things after go-live?

Yes. Everything set up during onboarding stays editable by your admins, and the Get started checklist stays available.
